We are generally considered to be an ethnic group from the South Canara district on the south west coast of India. Residents of Mangalore are also referred to as Mangaloreans. Majority of our members belong to the Tuluva ethnic group. Popular cine stars Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Freida Pinto, Genelia D'Souza and Shilpa Shetty belong to our community.
